I find they were right that all my various poems in “Monsters in My Head” Chapbook are a intertwined in a world where monsters are real even if they in your mind. 

In fact I will probably create another loosely connected world possibly called “Broken Visions in my Eyes”

Quite a bit of my poetry has similar connections of myths, death, technology, magic etc. What a reader noticed is that I sometimes use some words thorough out my poetry and they seem like the same world or universe with different ideas.

Building a world in Poetry

The idea came up after I spent around 6 months unconsciously writing almost branded theme poems with so many of the same interconnected themes, and with death Metal like ideas. After re-reading and editing them I noticed a few things.

So a interesting thought and discussion I have been having. Building a world with poetry. I found in my upcoming chapbook I have created various themes, world hooks and interconnected world stories. So I feel you can build a world using poetry just like fiction.

Even though I side on the realms of darker poetry, it allows me to express issues I need to work on or someone need to made a mention of. Often I write in general and/or ambiguous style so my current (Alpha) readers can find to something to relate to personally.

My Artistic expression

I am tone deaf as they come. I do find artistic expression of any kind can have the same effect. For me laying down rhythmic poetry lines that rhyme soothe my soul and allows me destress my mind.

How I see myself as a artist.

I think anyone who creates art in anyway Will see things differently and is probably a little insane compared to normal people. I think I am, considering my poetry and story themes which are pretty dark and I don’t always know where they come from.
