The song "Bobby Shaftoe" was used by the politician of that name in the 1760s.

We saw "Thin Lizzy" in 2008. Ridiculous. (I mean - they were pretty decent - but really not what anyone would expect "Thin Lizzy" to be)

My current favourite is to make banana pancakes. One over-ripe banana+flour, milk, & baking powder makes one big fluffy "American"-style pancake.

Congratulations to England's Red Roses, the women's rugby world cup winners. A superb effort over six weeks and deserved winners.

London Has Officially Been Named Europe’s Favourite City For Cycling – Overtaking The Likes Of Amsterdam And Paris Helmets at the ready, folks; London has just topped the charts as the internet's favourite European cycling city - and we're feeling wheely proud.

🚴‍♀️ London has done it.

We’ve just been crowned Europe’s favourite city for cycling, a fantastic recognition of the progress we’ve made to make our city greener and more accessible for all. Our cycling boom is good for Londoners and is putting us on the map for cycle tourism.

We visited a couple of years ago and found the place and people to be lovely, despite the awfulness of their Taskmaster version.

Loved this band (at least until Mustaine went completely nuts).

Hmm Amazon have them, but you have to get the extra spicy ones too, which are a bit much for me.

Pulparindo are my favourite, haven't had any in ages though... Mm, spicy, sweet and salty.. (The optics department at Imperial had loads of Mexican people there when I was there in the late 1990s. They always used to bring back those - plus tonnes of chillis)

American military cargo plane flying low over our campsite making many of us think we were about to die. After it became clear that death was not imminent, our neighbour shouted "fucking hell" very loudly, a sentiment we shared.

Just seen the Red Man here in Sidmouth... dressed entirely in YELLOW! (Unless it is simply that he is approaching *extremely* quickly)
