Belated day 4 update: we made it to Florida and were greeted with three days of thunderstorms (more thunder than we heard the whole time we were in LA). We are both readjusting to life with humidity (pray for us).

Day 3/4: breakfast tacos in Texas & po' boys in Louisiana. Freddie mauled the plants a little before settling in, but I think they'll make it.

And just like that we're more than halfway! Frederick Nugget is the World's Best Doggie for long road trips (see below)

We're moving back to Miami!

We made it to Texas! Fred decided he wanted to sit up front (this is why he has a seatbelt).

And today we started the Big Move East! We've landed for the evening at the cutest little desert motel and it is toasty out. Stay tuned for more pics of road-trip-Fred.

All to save $20B annually. The math ain't mathin.'

To put these top-line budget numbers in context, cuts of this magnitude would effectively mean no new grants in FY2026. The entire extramural budget would go to existing, continuing grants.

An abject failure of American ambition. And a betrayal of our global leadership in health science innovation.

They blame pollution but cut the EPA and clean air and water regulations. They blame poor nutrition but cut SNAP and programs to bring local produce to schools. They blame increased screen time while destroying public infrastructure that connects people. All while they take millions off healthcare.
