Earnestly - I love how the Times keeps trotting out the Wharton School alum Warby Parker founder Neil Blumenthal on these political panels to eat absolute shit and embarrass himself every single time. Wow. What a huge, whiny baby!

the funniest thing about this is that those of us who grew up in the divide all have a bunch of pre-cell phone numbers memorized and almost none afterwards

I know the home phone numbers of two of my childhood best friends from thirty years ago and none of the cell numbers of my college friends

It’s an easy out bc it negates the merits. I agree the elements aren’t close to satisfied, but you want to tell the court that you don’t have to go there bc of a procedural fuck up. Makes DOJ look incompetent &frames the haphazard of it all nicely. If you bury the argument you’re signaling it’s weak

Apples & oranges though, no? Similar cause of action, but Sussman’s indictment was 27 pages & entailed figuring out in what capacity he was acting when he made the statement. Seems a generous comparison to a blanket claim by attorneys that there are too many documents right after they indicted a guy

For one, the federal government cannot constitutionally commandeer state officials to do its bidding.

But more importantly, the president does not see his political opposition as legitimate but rather as a target for a carceral and militaristic state. It is deeply undemocratic and authoritarian.

Court-watchers confirm this cruel ICE agent has been reinstated.

Last week, in the briefest moment of decency, violently throwing a woman to the floor was β€œbeneath the men and women of ICE.”

This week, it’s back to business as usual. The cruelty, after all, is the point.

This morning, Benjamin Netanyahu will address the United Nations β€” an institution which has concluded his government is committing a genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. He arrived in New York after a flight that added hours to its path to circumvent the airspace of countries which might enforce the International Criminal Court's warrant for his arrest. During the course of his speech, another Palestinian child will undoubtedly be killed by the Israeli military in Gaza, as they have been every single hour for nearly two years.

Eric Adams will greet Netanyahu as a friend. Andrew Cuomo proudly served on his legal defense team. Both have jockeyed for the approval of Donald Trump, who has sent billions of our taxpayer dollars to support these war crimes.

A Mayor cannot end these atrocities. But they can speak for the values of this city: a commitment to human rights for all people, including Palestinians, and a yearning for peace and justice. Even if those values are anathema to those in power now, they will endure.

As Netanyahu addresses the United Nations in New York City this morning, the world recoils in horror at the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

We're at the point where the Trump does something worse than Watergate daily, often multiple times a day. And none of it makes news; it's just normal now.

Tweet from Dan Satterfield

Ok, I keep getting asked about how to complain about Kimmel.
The best way to complain that will have the biggest impact?
See if you have a Sinclair or nexstar station in your area.
2. Watch the local newscast tonight or some time this week.
3. Note the companies that bought tv adverts.
4. Call them and let them know you will boycott them until they quit supporting that media company.
Trust me. I worked in tv for 45 years.
Nothing you do will have greater impact.
