He definitely fails the brick test. The brick is way more useful.
I got to too much baggage to do that.

Itโs close enough to #Caturday

Disarm and leave them in their underwear
Not thinking is worse ;)
I think youโve stumped me on one.
I like the ones where Iโm 10 posts down and I get it!
Those are the best kind of jokes I think.

Same.
10.10.2025 22:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0We had one ages ago, it wasnโt great. I had horrible issues with a tablet from them too, sand donโt get me started on the motherboard I owned. They are pretty much dead to me.
10.10.2025 21:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1Iโve had the talk with my kiddo. They are in an older house right now without a lot of outlets.
10.10.2025 20:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Right? Iโd so like to know what all was plugged into it.
Iโve definitely seen some frightening usage, like Christmas Vacation
I think itโs key to teach kids how to use them appropriately so they arenโt plugging heaters or other high draw appliances into them. Bunch of low draw stuff is good, a couple of high draw items is bad, not even one should go in there.
Loose plugs, also bad.
New houses have arc fault now as well.
So we know a family whose house burned down from a bad one. She swears on buying them every year now.
I think quality ones hold up, but checking for heat and loose connections totally makes sense. There are a lot of cheap ones for sale these days, betting many arenโt even UL listed :/
1/2
Minority for sure, but you think majority.

I hope the slow fill wasnโt from low BP.
They always have trouble with my wife, and she is horrified by needles. So I can kind of relate.
Idaho, WTAF?
The Libertarians ought to love that.

10.10.2025 19:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So I get this as related to surge suppressing tech, that will wear out upon reducing spikes.
As far as copper wire and connectors, I donโt see how they are any different from an outlet, if well built.
Outlets can get loose after years of use and should be replaced if thatโs the case, butโฆ
I do too, and itโs all metal and built like a tank.
