Ran 6k this morning very slowly. I feel I have definitely turned a corner with this shoulder nonsense. No pain after doing 5k on Saturday, and it has felt fine since this morning. Onwards...

I did but then I refreshed the page and it loaded fine

An unexpected joy relayed to coming back from an injury at this time of year is that every week your #parkrun email says β€œcongratulations on your best time this year” 🀣

It’s ok, feels like I’m doing it more without thinking now which is good. I’ve also realized how much tension I hold in my shoulders. But it’s good I realize and release it.

Happy #parkrun day. Did Gloucester City in the rain today with lots of friends from my run club, one of them celebrating his 50th Parkrun on his 50th birthday. Jogged the whole thing with no walking, my shoulder feels great 😎

I did the Bath Half last year and was dreading that hill. I was on such a runners high though that I powered up it, knowing that if I did so I would PB. It was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be (and I knocked something like 6 mins off my PB!)

Nice day for a #parkrun Jeff. Measured the walking breaks today so if the shoulder feels good tomorrow i have a baseline I can maybe start reducing. Feels good now which is a start 😎

Could you add electrolytes? I think that would lower the freezing point (and more electrolytes on a long run can't be a bad thing even if you're not sweating profusely)

Good news. Minimal thoracic shoulder issues yesterday and woken up with it feeling pretty much normal today - big contrast to last week. Looks like belly breathing is part of the way forward. I’m curious if other runners breathe like this and if you had to train yourselves to do it

my chiropractor thinks it will help my thoracic outlet shoulder problem. Makes sense I guess, if I stop breathing in via my shoulders. Seemed to help this morning, my shoulder feels OK now (better than this time last week anyway!)

A friend of mine is running the Arc of Attrition today. I’ve walked quite a lot of that coastline and watching the dot moving along my legs are wincing in sympathy. Massive respect to anyone who does that kind of thing πŸ‘Š

Today’s #parkrun was a gentle Jeff round the Forest of Dean. Focused on my breathing after some advice that belly breathing would be better on my shoulder, seems to have helped. Nice course, one to come back to when I can run again. Good to be on trails πŸ’œ

happy #parkrunday - an earlyish start for us as we're heading over to the Forest of Dean for some local #parkruntourism. If I have to walk it, I'd rather go and find somewhere pretty! Teen is coming too as he likes a hike but not a run 😍 #parkrun

Happy #parkrunday! Managed to Jeff round my local in just over 40min. Lap 3 was hard - seeing people I usually finish near going into the finish funnel while I had one more lap to go! But my shoulder feels ok, and taking it steady is more important. Was good just to get out and do it 😎 #parkrun

Have not been on here much lately. Partly there’s so much awful in the news and I need to see less of it - I need to curate my feed a bit I think. Partly I’m not running and having serious FOMO seeing everyone else on here’s activities - but my shoulder is improving and I can Jeff a little ☺️

Happy #parkrunday. No running for me until my shoulder is better so I’ve done the first timers briefing and then barcode scanning at King George V in Cheltenham. With many layers on as it is chuffing freezing πŸ₯Ά #parkrun
