“I’ll miss you too, Rich.”
The 💞 moment Nova & Nita fans had been waiting three years for finally happened! About to step away from the team, Namorita dropped in to see Rich privately where the two gave way to their emotions, resulting in a passionate kiss goodbye.

Finished Dracula and it was excellent. Beautifully florid artwork by Esteban Maroto. Would love to see this black and white art in an oversized hardcover someday. For now though, I think I might try to track down the individual three issues from Topps to see how good a colored version looked.

Evan responded to my prompt asking about the Richard Rider Spaceknight concept I had learned about years before. It was all going to be tied into a big cosmic storyline involving Kymellians, Xandarians, and Skrulls!
I’m glad Rich stayed Nova but sad we never got to read that.
Less than an hour away!
If you have never tuned in before for a LIVE stream of the “Come Out To Play” New Warriors podcast, I’m betting this would be a good place to start!

To each their own! 😆
I just feel Gamora’s a better match for the more mature Rich we have seen since the Annihilation event.
I loved’em
It made sense for the storyline, but I hated they went away with the 5YL jump.
Nicieza & Bagley made it easy to root for these two crazy kids.

I had too much fun skimming through and finding these Rich & Nita moments. Almost makes me reconsider my preference for Rich & Gamora.

February is not long enough to share all of Rich and Nita‘s flirting, so here are four of my favorite 💞 exchanges between them from their early days.

This pic I posted is from Swamp Thing. But I just searched Tarker Mills and am now very interested in this Cycle of the Werewolf novella that Wrightson worked on with King.

I have known for a long time that Wrightson was a master. But I had no idea EVERY SINGLE PANEL in these early Swamp Thing issues were phenomenal!
I can’t think of anybody better to learn from. I’ve never read these early Swamp Thing stories by him and Len Wein before, so every page is a revelation to my eyes!

Nova and Namorita first met in New Warriors #1. There was an immediate attraction… on Richard‘s part. As a bonus, we got a classic Rich “Blue Blazes!” exclamation paired with her “Suffering Shad!” at this meet cute.

I think the monthly grind hindered him a bit on that series. Yet despite the time crunch, there were some panels and pages where he managed to shine. I agree this commission piece really showcases that talent though.
