Because why else do you put it in quotes, in this particular list, when it could mean what the word really is understood to mean?

1. A #flu & #measles update.
#CDC has been informed of 5 more kids who've died from flu this year, bringing the pediatric death total so far to 71. About 90% of them weren't vaccinated.

One of the many sort of obscene things about the Tahoe Keys neighborhood is how much city plowing resources it sucks up for a neighborhood with less than 60% full-time occupancy. Another is that it should be a wetland.

So much this. An interesting take on the source inspiration of Pinocchio at a time when pop AI was closer to HAL, #5, & WarGames than it was to now, with what would have been an absolutely gutting ending.

Back in graduate school in the late 1900βs, I worked with HeLa cells in the lab. I had no idea of the story behind them.
They were cervical cancer cells that were taken, without consent, from a woman named Henrietta Lacks.
Her story is one that covers just about every corner of public health.
About a mile away from me is a street called 'Al Tahoe Blvd' and that second letter is an 'L' but it doesn't read that way on the sign and I've called it 'A''I'Tahoe Blvd by accident many times then tried to play it off as a joke.

In the last twenty-four hours, a powerful winter storm has dropped between 1 to 3 feet of snow in Sierra Nevada.
The heavy snow exacerbated conditions for dangerous avalanches, especially in the Lake Tahoe region where the heaviest snowfall occurred.
An odd coincidence given this moment in time, but 'AI.' It had such a perfect ending and cautionary moral and I swear you can tell the instant Kubrick died and lost control of the outcome and Spielberg stepped in and made it stupid and pointless for some feely goody and it just killed it for me.
