I think that’s why this is such an interesting conundrum for me. I want to play the best game I can and give my opponent a good experience given the complexity of the game, the pay wall around other army rules, and that competitive nature of the whole thing.

One of the folks I chatted with about this suggested that if you give up everything you are capable of they you are basically telling you opponent how to defeat you, and I think they have a point to a degree.

I consider myself an exceptionally competitive player of AoS. I play exclusively to do better in tournaments but that doesn’t preclude me from wanting to ensure that my wins feel clean to me, but I recognize that’s my lens and not everyone feels the same way.

Yeah, I forgot about the paywall thing. Not being able to check for yourself is a problem.

That is a good point.

I expect less forthcoming information in a tournament, but if I experienced this situation I’d probably not offer full sportsmanship points.

I think my plan is to develop a list of standardized pre game questions. Do you have the following: deep strike, fight first/ last, charge jank, movement modifiers. That kind of thing.

Later in this game my opponent was trying to decide to redeploy from a lord of change. I reminded him I had a possible 12” charge from my destiny dice to allow him to try and get away. It was suggested that I gave up too much unnecessarily. I feel like that should be the standard, but am i salty?

What triggered my reflection was charging some enlightened in squigs but not the immediately adjacent big unit of wolves. My plan was to maybe pile in and clip them. I stayed this out loud. My opponent did not mention he would strike first if he counter charged, which he did. Dead enlightened.

Had an interesting discussion of what constitutes a ‘gotcha’ in AoS. The group I chatted with seemed to settle on its my responsibility as a player to ask questions, not to give information voluntarily. Feels a little greasy to me. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #aos #ageofsigmar

Had the hardest game of AoS I’ve had since the new GHB. Fished out a minor victory with a 60/60 finish. The thing about this new season is that I don’t feel like I’m ever out of the game. Keep you eye on the prize and who knows what you can get at the end. #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammer

Thanks. I don’t usually use actual metal paints, but in the interest of variety and growth a did some on the scales. I think it worked.

Thank you. I struggle with colour schemes in general so for this project I’m trying to stick with some of the basic warm/ cold contrasting colours.
