Agreed. I actually really liked the classes and school content in the base game and feel like it should have been integrated into the main quest so it felt more like being in a school (especially since we're stuck in the uniforms).

I enjoyed the Dragon Quest Builders games, so I'm excited for a Pokemon version of that

I 100% get the usefulness of showdown, but it has no appeal to me. I’d much rather figure out how good or bad (usually bad) my team is by throwing them up against randos in the online of the actual game. Bonus is you sometimes get to annihilate a kid’s team of legendaries.
