I’ve felt way before Trump showed up that Republicans were like a dog that poops on a rug and Democrats are like a disappointed owner saying “Can you believe this?!”

I mean, I'm no stranger to coding html. I cut my teeth in the 90s on notepad. I'd just rather not deal w/ the headache if instead I can find a selfhosted turnkey solution without a lot of friction in the launch.

I think I'm done w/ heavy learning curves for this project. I tried ProcessWire and while it worked it felt like I was given a box of parts and a wrench and told to make a car.

I'm thinking of starting up a wordpress site to kind of collect all my thoughts and projects, etc. Pretty sure nobody would ever read it, though I could always repost it here.

I'm a bit concerned about security. It's gotten a bad rep over the years. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

pfft... it's all heat dispersing plastic on rubber wood chips now. In the 80s we climbed rickety 30 foot ladders in 100 degree heat to slide down Hell's cookie sheet.

There's nothing quite like finding a take you don't agree with on Reddit and seeing lots of ppl supporting that take. You realize you can quietly remove hundreds of karma in the form of downvotes to individual posts.

Had occasion to watch an episode of Mister Roger's Neighborhood this morning. Such a great palate cleanser for modern life and a reminder that we once strove to be kind, patient and friendly to one another. I grieve the loss of those days, and I hope they come again.
