Talent is Timeless started during Covid and was successful way beyond organisers expectations. I got a lot out of the 50+ community it created, also went on one of their courses.

In 28 KS is not looking like he will win 29 GE so doors will open for AB to win a seat & stand against KS for leader. AB wins & goes on to win GE.
Note KS will be 67 in 29 & maybe looking to move away from top job.

He'd be doing it because he would be expecting/counting on a Burnham Bounce in the polls.
If he's in charge and Lab not govt after 2029 GE he'll quit.

In 27 or 28 a GM Lab MP who will announce they are standing down at next GE and AB will slide into being the candidate. Job done!

He's a great listener & communicator surrounded by a savvy team. He enjoys being a common sense irritant, & majority of GM think he does it far better than Reform.

- Reform promises not materialising and losing support
- Tories re-grouped but right vote still split with Reform
- Greens at end of elected honeymoon struggling to show more depth than ZP
- KS tired and not wanting 2nd term and be PM into his 70s
- Burnham bounce for 2029 GE

There is a limit to how much GM mayor can do under current devolution. AB has done most of the easy stuff very well (though capitulating to drivers of old minicabs on the air quality charge was weak). The next mayoral term will not be as straightforward.

Also, can't see a GM mayoral election taking place until who the Labour successor is is clear. Otherwise Burnham legacy will be trashed.

The 'Burnham Card' need not be played by either Starmer or Burnham until 2028. It wouldn't do either any good if Andy stood in Gorton, does him good to have this row, and his team know it.
