11.06.2025 21:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh okay. Gotcha
20.04.2025 16:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm not sure I understand what you are implying. Care to elaborate?
20.04.2025 14:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The solidarity and mutual aid brigades(?) will keep people from being evicted, make sure nursing homes are running perhaps more efficiently than ever before, that crops are being picked but instead of going to market they would go directly to the people.
20.04.2025 14:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Strike Funds are generally used to take care of workers basic and essential needs during the strike. If the General Strike is wide and effective enough, perhaps those funds will be unnecessary.
20.04.2025 14:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My friends, what the Trump regime has unleashed on America is intolerable. It is time β beyond time β for a national civic uprising. We must take action. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/a-bigger-threat-to-free-speech-than
18.04.2025 15:29 β π 1631 π 403 π¬ 67 π 29What does a civic uprising look like in reality?! It looks like a General Strike. Everyone stops working. Pausing the economy. Stealing back the power and smashing the political power of our currently elected and unelected leaders.
18.04.2025 15:38 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0General Strike!!!!!
18.04.2025 15:35 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think a way to inspire people to consider the General Strike as a viable action we need to feed the imagination of what we all can and will need to be doing during the strike. All the different ways we will need to spring into action. How we will protect the vulnerable, feed and defend.

18.04.2025 14:51 β π 11 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0We have to actively prepare our communities to strike. This means becoming reliant on each other rather than corporations.
Free fridges, community potlucks, food distribution, community gardens. Direct cash resources to help people pay bills, childcare, etc.
Pro(tester) Tip:
If you march at a busy intersection, use the crosswalk and erupt in thunderous noise as you cross. Then, let cars go, wait for the next signal to erupt again. Repeat
Blocking traffic gives police an excuse to stop you, _and_ letting cars go gets the word out to more happy drivers!
And it was what the people did during the strike/boycott, all the solidarity and mutual aid and organizing that was happening that made it all such a successful and empowering action.
18.04.2025 14:32 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I believe a General Strike is our best chance at a peaceful offense against this fascist regime. Hit them where it hurts. Stop the economy, steal their power, smash their influence. The Strike would be the easiest part. It's what we do DURING the strike is what will be important.

We did a "soft release" on this CS show (first in 3 years)so that those who never unsubscribed from the feed and REALLY wanted this got first crack at it. They got that. So here's the link:

In 25 years of covering national security, Iβve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

...and if we want to not only survive but thrive in an uncertain present and future times we need to learn to be more flexible and comfortable with uncertainty, and that means becoming more knowledgeable but also flexible in what we think we know and open to new ideas.
17.03.2025 19:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What I snagged from this conversation was that we humans are at our best when we live outside of our comfort zone and that if we are going to defeat authoritarianism in our society, we have to break up with the authoritarian in our own selves.
