From sketch to finished artwork 5. Flat colour. I try to get close to the final tones in this stage, but I always make changes and adjustments in the next one, in which I allow myself to experiment. On to general light, mood, necessary detail and highlights.

From sketch to finished artwork 4. Final inks. Heavy lines and details in the foreground; depth and distance towards the background achieved by thinner and fewer lines. I always correct in the colour stage, but happy with the inks to move on.

From sketch to finished artwork 3. Digital inks stage. With all elements in their place, all trade dress hidden to focus solely on the illustration. Since there is only a main character, I finished him first, everything else will be harmoniously inked around him.
