I'm doing some sound effects design work that calls for an atonal engine-type sound,

and many of the sound designers I admire perform their sounds,

while I'm generally very anxious about performing music, I can have a lot of fun w/simple things like this thanks to the Linnstrument's expressivity

I had to remove the app from my phone a year into the pandemic

My favorite piece these days is "Disconnect in Character", which is more or less about neurodivergent masking — its costs & the negative feedback loops that form when you don't pay them

A friend said it's "easily the darkest piece on the album" & it's *after* the one about depressive emptiness

Instead of AI, I'd like the ability to insert today's date into the name field of any save dialog box on MacOS.

Besides the obvious chorusing from detuned oscillators, I had some fun with it in Polymer and the Vowel filter to get different sort of “chorus”

Glaringly obvious to *us*; a lot of these people were outright lied to and weren’t paying close attention, and were misled by the firehose of disinfo

Still, much lower on my sympathy list than people who made the right choice or who are too young to vote

Professionally, I’ve done computer programming work for ~20 years, shifting towards UI design for semantically complex things. I get caremad about giving people tools to understand things, and especially caremad about preventing mistakes

I am a wildly spatial thinker, & deal with late diagnoses for ADHD & Dysthymia

but like, I did a game jam recently, and am doing some UI programming for an audio plugin, and it all involves a lot of trig

Try doing some graphics programming sometime and you can do the same thing with trig
