AmigaOS 3.3 Ready for Release in 2026

Lead developer Camilla Boemann provided a status update at Amiga40 in Germany on the progress of AmigaOS 3.3 for the classic line.

AmigaOS 3.3 will be ready for release in 2026.

Attached are some highlights from Camilla’s presentation.

This morning my ChatGPT quota was inexplicably exhausted.

It took a while but I pieced it together. Voice mode somehow got activated when I went to bed.

The bot then engaged in a 10 hour conversation with my snoring dog, answering questions the pup wasn’t asking and praising him for his insight.

Which did it better? The cardboard cutout? Or the real thing?

The real thing is a bit too lippy to be honest! 😂

Just as I was drifting off to sleep last night I realised that I could save a further 8 (yes, count them) T-states in the drawHorzLine routine by swapping some of the register assignments around. I'd not looked at that code for a few days.
