I guess that is technically true as well as being "feels" true - the team and design were built outside of Commodore, right? Not sure if 100% complete but the dna of the thing was not commodore IIRC?

Yeah it was pretty rare to see any amigas around us even when price came right down and then wing commander, wolfenstein, Doom came out on PC, it was all over

We had the Atari ST because the Amiga was too expensive, and only when the ST came down in price after the STFM had been out a while. I moved to PC in early 90s though, so Amiga was more "late 80s" machine for me.
