It’s staggering how bad Williams’s internal clock is. You could see it all game - just a second too long to move in the pocket or snap the ball. Running a 2 minute drill shouldn’t be hard at this point in the season for a starting QB. I also blame Eberflus for not calling TO when he got sacked.

What an absolutely brutal last 30 seconds in the Bears/Lions game. Caleb Williams simply cannot make that kind of mental error. Though I also blame the coach for not taking a time out the minute he was sacked. #NFL #CHIvDET

Definitely avoiding that trope. I thought I was clever establishing she had short hair by having her reflect on how in her line of business (sanitation and maintenance on a space station) it was a hazard. Then gave a quick description of why Hipster Bobby w/the ponytail found that out the hard way 🤣

Yes. Also worth noting that this was only the first chapter getting critiqued. Obviously as the story went on I planned to layer in more details. It was also first person narrative so a lot of the character's personality was pretty established by that tone.

I did a writing seminar recently and got feedback that I didn’t describe my character early enough. The instructor said “The only thing I know about her is that she’s tall, she has a wife and her life is crappy.” And I was like, isn’t that all you need? Why does it matter what color her hair is?

I finally got around to watching #TheDecameron on Netflix. At first i wasn’t sure about it but by the end I kinda loved it. It’s dark humor, but there are some sweet moments as well. I ended up loving several of the characters. Karan Gill’s Panfilo was a real standout for me. Definitely recommend.

Heretic was outstanding. Well written, good pacing, and great performances. You’ll hear a lot about Hugh Grant’s performance (deserved) but I thought Sophie Thatcher was great as well.

I just watched #Challengers. It was sexy in a very frustrating way. The whole time I was also thinking “boy, this soundtrack slaps” and then at the end credits realized why. Lol.
