was going to say more but it's prob a smidge too identifying and I guess I should be good but I shall just leave with it will always astound me how the most incompetent white men can rise to senior leadership just by nature of never being able to stfu. and sometimes by having a podcast.

it's also funny bc a (prob former) client read this poem at a dinner at a recent conference, which is why this VP felt it right to share with us... except it def reads like the client was using the poem to consciously uncouple with us and I feel like that just COMPLETELY flew over the VP's head.

and to be clear, they were lovely words! it's a lovely poem! but he read it as a way to be like "we're still here! keep fighting the good fight!! we shall live on forever!!" and the last words of the poem are literally "let it go." 💀

when a senior leader reads a poem to the team as a way to inspire and motivate but it's clear he actually doesn't understand the poem at all or internalize its message and you're all just left sitting there like......huh. those sure are words.
