Also IIRC Mrs Pearce pronounced is “ka-PAR-thy”, like McCarthy. Instead of Ka-parthy. Like Parthy Ann Hawks.

I think there’s another glitch in that recording, during “You Did It”:
Higgins: “Thank heavens for Zoltan Karpathy. If it hadn’t been for him I would have died of boredom. He was there, all right, and up to his old tricks.”
Mrs Pearce: “Karpathy? That dreadful Hungarian? Was he there?”
H: “Yes.”

Probably obvious, but to me Higgins played by Leslie Howard in PYGMALION (1938) is more comedic, absurd and ridiculous, while Higgins played by Rex Harrison in #MyFairLady is more overbearing, bullying, possibly abusive. By design, by both directors. #TCMParty
