started watching Father Brown because I'd gotten so into Sister Boniface Mysteries, and my god I'm glad there's a ton of it. please no one rid me of this meddlesome priest, he's a delight

k, I'm super new to One Piece and I have zero idea what ppl have been theorizing for all these years, BUT: my theory is that the One Piece is a nugget of some radioactive material like uranium. some source of energy that'd revolutionize industry and ocean travel and turn power dynamics upside down.

Judge Dee's Mystery is deeply enjoyable to watch, partly bc of how gorgeous the costumes and sets and scenery are, and partly because I love the dynamic of "hi I'm Di Renjie and these are my two dumbass best friends who I met when they tried to rob me, we solve crimes"

(1) I can't remember any other show that creates in-world media properties like SBM, let alone to the same degree of detail, plot relevance, or especially fun
(2) THE PUNS. Boniface and Gillespie making the corniest puns and so obviously relishing it. never gonna get old.

because I guess this account is almost solely about my Media Opinions now (which, not much of a change from Twitter tbh), I've just finished season 1 of Sister Boniface Mysteries and I'm finding it absolutely delightful for a couple very specific reasons

I'll venture to say that few if any characters in media have deserved the one (1) PG-13 F-bomb as deeply and spiritually as Roronoa Zoro did

so I've finished season 1 of live action One Piece thanks to @megparsec.bsky.social and my god that was one of the most entertaining things I've watched... maybe ever?

look I'm not gonna be so vindictive as to say there's a special place in hell for someone who decides to put laundry in all 3 working apartment-wide washing machines at the same time. but I *do* think that person should, in so doing, invoke a curse that shrinks one random item in their laundry load

there was an insect near our open kitchen window for about thirty minutes. and I know it was about that long because this damned thing made a sound EXACTLY like a gas stove turning on, and that's how long I spent being repeatedly petrified that I hadn't turned the stove off

I don't even remember where I got it but I've kept a bamboo picnic spoon in the lil backpack I use as a Butch Purse™️ for a good couple years now -- and the other day I got some tabouli to go but the cafe didn't have plastic utensils so I GOT TO USE THE BACKPACK SPOON. I'm so happy about this tbh
