I think this single play results in Admiral being a generally underrated defender because of how famous it is. Hakeem made him look silly here, but Robinson was *amazing*. One of those guys who would be an absolute terror in the modern pace and space league.

I went into Crash thinking it surely wasnt as bad as people claimed - that perhaps it was just average fare that got backlash for beating a far superior film in Brokeback. Oof. For me, one of the more morally superficial movies (of actual acclaim) in a long time, and almost comically melodramatic.

Shape is a weird one, i think its good to very good, but id have put it in the bottom half of the field that year in quality. Call Me By Your Name, Dunkirk, Get Out, Lady Bird, and Phantom Thread were all fantastic imo. But I guess Shape was just good enough to allow the nod to del Toro.
