This whole thing is not an effort to address a problem. It is an effort to making registering and voting harder, expensive, and complicated for disfavored voters.

I don't have a problem with it on theory, though I know people who object to photo ID on religious grounds, but none of these forms of identification are free or trivially easy to get.

Whereas in Illinois, I can vote by mail if I wish, certifying with my signature, and the voter registration card

Gabi was not a very good supervisor. It's all somewhat askew. It'll work, though. I used plenty of duct tape.

but I didn't get too far into my "I am a permanent useless failure at everything and should end my existence sooner rather than later" mode. That's good, though I'm still discombobulated and tired and prone to yelling at my phone at every reminder.

The new fridge is here. Everything went smoothly. My stomach is thrown off and some of my toes think they got hurt, but I'm going to take a nap and I think I will probably feel okay to run in a store and grab some Ghosts and other cold drinks later.

The other, um, drastic treatment for "cat driving me crazy" is Another Cat. Yeah. I know. "That'd be great? But I'm broke?" *nod*

Hmmm. 🤔 That's so weird! (As I hear Gabi yelling at nothing upstairs.)

The only other reasons I've known for a cat to get randomly persistently vocal like that are anxiety and kitty dementia. (Kitty dementia is so sad!)

I guess if it were me, I'd see if she likes valerian toys...

Momo could get very vocal near the back door in winter. At 3 a.m. I never figured out what was so fascinating out there in the cold and dark. The only thing that kinda calmed him down for a few minutes was opening the back window in the dining room and...

...then got lightheaded for half an hour.

I've pretty much just been sitting, which my mother found annoying.

I guess I should eat something more nutritious than popcorn and brownies. Ooof.
