...that own the housing. in many counties around america, there's only one or two major landowners & they control most of the rentals. if you're closer to a city, maybe you have more options in terms of companies, but companies owning a majority of housing gives them a degree of price fixing ability

as someone with some knowledge about urban policy, everyone is right & everyone is wrong here. the issue isn't blackrock specifically & more housing built will help the issue. that said, i think when ppl say blackrock, they mean faceless corporation. most ppl in specific regions can name the orgs...
