To me it sounds like someone deciding to stop saying "dumb" and instead replacing it with......... the r word. Those words mean the same thing! Am I missing something?

I've heard a lot of folks lately using "cuckoo bananas" in lieu of "crazy" or "insane" and I understand that those words have ablist connotations but can someone explain to me how "cuckoo bananas" is........ better?

-jazz (that's a fun name, we can all admit)
-Heat (also a fun name and bonus it's not in Utah)
-cavaliers (I really only care about the names)
-Mavericks (top gun)
-Pelicans (no explanation necessary, just google a pelican)
