After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.

When you vote into power someone who has undermined democracy and human rights, you get a White House meeting undermining an ally fighting for democracy and human rights.

What an embarrassing display by fascists in the White House. How refreshing to see a head of state visiting who knows how to be a leader. To our beloveds in Ukraine, many of us here stand with you despite what Putin's American propagandists say.

The point is to begin. To take a first step before running. To exercise a muscle for when strength is needed. To practice a skill in preparation of competing at a higher level.

Participate now. And then the discipline required of us to organize and overcome gets easier.

Today's boycott might make a noticeable economic impact; it might barely make a blip; it might have zero measurable effect on targeted corporations.

That's okay. Even if the effort gets ignored today, that's not the ultimate point of a one day boycott.
