How is this justice? The guy was killed in 2022. Now the trial is delayed to 2026 after already starting in 2025?! A slap in the face for the family and friends. Every day spent in jail is likely credited 3:1. So by 2026 he’ll have served the equivalent of 12 years. Ridiculous.

This weekend, someone broke into my parents garage and stole my baby brothers snowboard out of it, in the Braeside community. Brady loved nothing more than hitting the slopes in the winter 😭. I don't care who did it. I just want it back. No questions asked. Please. It's almost the one-year anniversary and this has absolutely wrecked my family, we dont need to hurt more. I dont care why they did it, I wont press charges. I just need the snowboard back. This has absolutely gutted me. Ive attached a picture of the board, with my brother. Please help keep an eye out. The post was about the rural delegate voting it down. My example is why I as a rural landlord would stop renting if forced to accept pets. The reality is each landlord has a reason for no pets so forcing them to is not the answer. Increase the # of rentals & you’ll get more landlords that take pets.

Why should we have to further fence, change our farm business or have the hassle of worrying about a dog getting out? There are all sorts of rentals out there & forcing people to rent to someone when it’s not a fit will not help. Like someone else said, increase the total number of rentals overall.

Dog owner & rural landlord. We don’t allow dogs & cats. Would stop renting if forced to allow dogs. Too much hassle. What if our animals don’t get along. Our dog kills your cat. Your dog chases our horses or kills a free range hen in our egg business? Already a process to find good tenant w/o pets.
