My nurse joker costume from CSU Chico Halloween 2008. There were no signs, totally cis 🤣.

It turns out this is one of those scents I don't care for on me but love a bit on my pillow before bed.

It's really nice, think it was the first scents I got from one of those Sephora sample sets with the redeemable full size a few years back, and made me realize wood notes are some of my favorites.

Phlur's Somebody Wood is one of my favorite non gendered late summer early fall scents as it perfectly captures sunbeams + warm woods on a crisp day, like the last heat of summer is ending. Felt very appropriate today here in Cali where it was around 50° when I woke up but also had a high of 80°.

Dropped $200 on a college comic club colleague's kickstarter for his new project and he reached out to thank me. Trying to live that dream didn't work for me, so if I can help other people live theirs I feel good about that.

Thinking about using this on the dating apps - clearly I can be trusted with sharp objects and small creatures.

I didn't go full murderous trans Grizabella for this just cuz the base took long enough as it was without adding blood, and I'd probably use different jewelry for more of a disgraced showgirl kinda vibe. This kitten probably lives in a hot topic and does Black Parade or Bleed Like Me at the Ball.

"Do I actually see with my own very eyes, someone who's not heard of a Jellicle Cat??" My take on Cats style makeup if I was going to the Jellicle Ball. The makeup took 5.5 hours cause I'm way out of drag practice and I was figuring out the shapes as I went.

I managed to get my Dad signed up relatively easily on a new prescription plan since his old one isn't being offered anymore. Between that and a 6 hour makeup look yesterday I'd say I've earned some chicken parm + tiramisu.

Started this look about 4:30pm, just got the last of it off around midnight. Spent pretty much all of that on my feet (cause I vastly underestimated how long this would take) so I'm very sore but doing this kind of makeup was so cathartic. Tomorrow will be photoshop, so this is your preview tonight

I also got some dog ears so spent some time deep diving into puppygirl + kemonomimi makeup tiktok compilations - which seems to be mainly some blush or bronzer on the bottom of the nose, pink blush, and a nose ring, all of which I'm sure will transfer perfectly to my almost 40 year old face.

Between work exhaustion and having to give my mom eye drops every few hours I didn't have time/energy to jump into full Cats makeup this evening so I've been finding tutorials, references, and the actual Broadway face charts to prepare for murderess emo showgirl Grizabella

When you've gotta kill your jealous lover at 9 to be at the jellicle ball by 10. Very excited to do makeup for this.

Oh man it's been so long I haven't been able to track down that file since then in his archives but I should check out his newer stuff, love his voice

I've been watching old iron Chef in lieu of wrestling lately cuz honestly it's the same - there's invading factions, crazy characters, winner becomes iron chef matches, even "this celebrity thinks they can wrestle/cook"

Getting back into hypnosis lately and am now remembering trying a HypnoBeast file years ago before transition that was like exploring your mind castle and meeting a wizard who HB said was kind but I KNEW my wizard was bad news and stopped. I'm wondering how that file would go post transition.

We're in that time of year where it's pretty cold in the morning but will be 80°+ by the afternoon so a bitch was going to the chiropractor this morning in shorts, a t shirt, big fuzzy thigh high socks, and arm warmers.

It's just so messy lol. Also slime on the skin is a different and an ok feeling, but slime seeping through fabric is blech for some reason.

I mean if it's good enough for my face, can't hurt (I hope lol)

I love it when makeup tells a story. Laris from Star Trek Picard on season 1 looks much more fresh faced than this smokey, smoldering, flushed look we see in season 2 when she's a romantic interest.

Just spilled a buncha snail slime on my shirt so this week is off to a good start

When I saw the main listed notes were bergamot, orange, and ginger flower I was expecting it to be fruitier, but the citrus is more grounded, earthy, in the warm Amber's, woods, and myrrh. I don't get much separation between the top, middle, and base here, it's more of a pleasant melange of it all.

When I eventually shook the cobwebs I realized the hooded figures were just early morning light peeking through the corners of the canvas tent but it scared me so bad it's always stuck with me. But like, they looked like they were moving and I swore I heard chanting.

I've had sleep paralysis a handful of times but waking up at summer camp, thinking the sides of our tent were pulled up and hooded figures were circling the tent slowly freaked me right out. My friend was sleeping right next to me and I couldn't say anything, just frozen and panicked.
