30 years for me. A schoolmate's funeral this winter opened all the floodgates. I was 23 when my dad died. My mother had my brother's roommate call me to tell me. That was shtty to say the least.

My kid wanted to do a high school year in the US. Now, I'm not even thinking about allowing it.
