NEW: Todd Lyons, the acting chief of ICE, said federal immigration officers would have “no reason” to be at voting locations this fall.

The statement marks the first time a senior official has rejected extreme calls from prominent MAGA influencers for Trump to use ICE to police the polls.

One cannot help but notice the use of direct threat aimed at Americans --usually involving violence--that is characteristic of both Trump regimes. (And the interim, by MAGA.) It's generally portrayed as 'this makes MAGA happy' but it also transforms Americans to live through it.
