Every person has the right to safety, respect and freedom from coercion in their work, even as they have the duty to respect those rights in others. No law that diminishes or denies these rights can claim to be ethically justified.
Never give up. You have right on your side.

The only people with the moral authority to say 'we will let bygones be bygones' are those who were wronged. It cannot be imposed by the abuser.
I mean it can, but it is ethically indefensible.

Sadly, it simply shows that nothing has changed. In case nationalists were thinking that surely they must now be equal under the law. This will have a far-reaching chilling effect.
