Personally speaking, I have not been doing well with the internal monologue that constantly oscillates between "I sure am glad I no longer have that job where the company retreat had just about everyone breaking down in tears over how miserable they were" and "...but what else am I supposed to do?"

Valerie's 63 theses here are heartbreaking but incredibly cathartic. This dredged up and then burned off some stuff I've been carrying around for two years now myself.

October Comes to Puppetland! For this year's Drawtober challenge, I'm celebrating the 1986 children's television series "Pee-Wee's Playhouse", and the wonderful artists who made it!

The illustration for the Dead World "Halloween" trading card, a scene depicting a group of children in costumes and carrying bags of candy for trick-or-treating, walking through a rural environment where a farm borders a wood. There is a full moon in the night sky, rising up behind the dark silhouette of a haunted-looking farmhouse that's flanked by a cornfield complete with scarecrow on one side, and a graveyard on the other, which transitions into a pumpkin patch. There are ghosts weaving between the trees of the wood, a skeleton peering from behind one of them, and the eyes of unknown spookums looking out from the darkness beyond the trees. There's an owl and a couple of bats in the branches of one of the trees. Another owl sits on top of a headstone and waves its wing at the passing children. A zombie hand emerges from that same grave and also gives a friendly wave, while a jack-o-lantern smiles on. One of the kids is dressed as a ghost, but a real ghost has joined the trick-or-treat parade, as has a large black cat. Other children are dressed as the superhero King Nova, a witch, the Headless Horseman, and zombie swordsman Jesse Knox.
