Managers can empower staff by scheduling intentional time for deep work, allowing space for focused, meaningful tasks beyond back-to-back meetings.

Ever feel like you've lived a whole week in one day? #mercuryretrogradevibes #caseofthemondays #whatistime
Are you familiar with the 20-20-20 concept?
If you work on a computer most of the time, it is helpful to set a gentle timer for 20 minute intervals where you look up (20 ft. away) for at least 20 seconds.
This gives your eyes and directed attention strain a break!
Setting up my work listening today and found this live concert. As I began to listen I found myself pulled to watch...incredible!
And, maybe not the best for productivity!
Essential. Endangered. Extremely chatty.
The characteristic howls of Red Wolves usually include a series of barks, yips, + sometimes growling, especially when voiced in alarm. The Red Wolf’s howl sounds somewhat similar to a coyote’s, but is often lower pitched + lasts longer.
Finding those moments to appreciate the life that is all around me.

Just a reminder to look up and take it all in.
Whenever I walk in nature, I notice that I am not thinking about being anywhere other than where I am.
All my senses are engaged. I am Simlly Being.
When was the last time that you didn't feel pulled in many directions and could just...Be?

Prior to 2020, Canadians spent 90% of their time indoors...and a a majority of this was spent online. Our mental health is suffering.
20 minutes/day outside means your: negative mood dissipates, anxious feelings slow down, mind clears, memory improves, and you just feel good.

Last weekend, I sat by the ocean and felt the waves wash away my worries. 🌊 There's something grounding about nature's rhythms; it reminds us to slow down and breathe. When was the last time you felt connected to the natural world? #NatureHeals #OceanMindfulness #RewildWellness

Feeling stressed? Research shows that 20 minutes in nature can reduce cortisol levels. 🌲 Take a moment today to step outside, walk barefoot, listen to the wind, feel the rain on your face, sit under a tree. Your mind and body will thank you. #RewildWellness #NatureForWellbeing

The concept of walls fascinated me enough to take an incredible (the best) undergrad course called Sociology of Space. The prof spent years researching the Sociology of Walls and published this thought provoking book. Walls, the pond to the ice rink.

Day 2 of Futures Forum is underway.
Questions today: How might AI support nature connections?
Can the technosphere exist without the biosphere?
How might we work to give nature a spot at our corporate and government tables?
Did you know that tomato plants emit noise when in stress?
How can we talk about sustainability without addressing the impacts of mass tourism and rapid urban growth on the natural world's capacity to sustain it? Geographic overconsumption is a pressing issue, often hidden behind the narrative of economic growth. It's time rethink how we define progress.

How do we hold the paradox of being present in the moment while considering, imagining, and acting for the future 100+ years.
How do we learn from our past, live in the moment, and take actions today for the future in mind?
Ever felt two opposing emotions at the same time? Like grief tangled with gratitude, or joy shadowed by guilt? It's uncomfortable but powerful, living that tension reminds us we're complex, resilient, and fully alive.

Just listened to Search Engine episode about the environmental issue with the growing cat population. My biggest takeaway: Don't anger serious cat people. Threatening ecologist's lives because they found a high death count of birds from cat populations...great example of 'feelings as facts'.
