oh yeah if you can make a living doing anything fulfilling you're set.

But this is also about statistical outcomes and potentially creating enough wealth to not have to worry about bills/helping family w/ essentials, maybe ever.

I think it's pretty fascinating either way.

Might depend more on the founder(s) and their aptitude/interest.

Indie devs have found success with many small businesses, while some startup founders survive the transition from venture funding to profitability. High probability of failure either way, possibly safer with many micro businesses.

While I understand your sentiment Hank, logically I don't follow. A tax cut means they are keeping more income. Technically it's the government taking less right?

I don't mind paying taxes (and I'm by no means rich) but I do enjoy it when uncle sam takes a bit less. I can spend more on fam

i think it's hilarious that two Claude instances, when left to talk to each other, no matter what the topic, will eventually converge to exchanging blissed-out hippie bullshit. like petabytes of two models saying "namaste" to each other forever.

This no-kill animal shelter is in desperate need of kitten food, kitten milk replacement, and other supplies. If you post a screenshot in my replies showing that you donated at least $10 (even as a Chewy gift card), I'll answer a style-related question for you. Donation info in their thread.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.
