Why do all apps advertise themselves as “the Duolingo for _____”. There is no such thing as a Duolingo for emotional regulation, Duolingo is the antithesis of emotional regulation.

My talented/gifted classmates ran the spectrum from National Spelling Bee winner to the kid who ate slugs and had to go to the hospital for it MORE THAN ONCE. I never bought into being smarter than anyone else, other kids were really talented at things I was shit at.

I say this *as* someone who was in any/all gifted classes, IB classes (til I quit because I couldn’t stand most of my classmates), honors classes, AP classes. The difference was I thought they were all goofy as hell.

My favorite shit on the internet is former gifted/talented kids whining about being adults. Wah wah I bought into being *special* and I wasn’t. Wahhhhh. Literally shut up. Just shut up.

His defenders think that because he also went through some traumatic things and went to therapy that he deserves redemption and to be given access to the same things and the same scene he’s previously abused. Get fucking real.

My favorite part about people defending Jesse Lacey is that he never said any of the women who accused him of things were lying, and essentially admitted he’s a bad person (I mean, his lyrics say as much).
