Caturday!!

I had such a nice gig. There was a little girl with her family at Acadian Wine Company and little girl just wanted to boogie so loud to the horseshoe crab song. She filled the whole place with her little voice. Really genuine and fun conversation and connections with everyone that was there.

I got gigs!

Today, I'm going to try to play some of my #FAWM songs at Acadian Wine Company in West Grove, PA... wish me luck, they're SUPER new!!

A competition with myself and the increased workload and the cold lol. Self competition only!

FAWM update… I’m up to 8 songs after midnight. And actually wrote one that I like. It only took writing seven other songs, go figure.

The plan is to try to write 4-6 songs this weekend, starting today. There’s also a tentative collab happening.

And another of my students brought Daniel by Elton John to lesson and I have never really appreciated this song, it’s really nice.

I’m excited for two new opportunities which materialized in late January, but it resulted in a huge setup backlog for #FAWM. I finally got a proper setup in the basement where I can be unabashedly noisy. I had to clean out my soundcloud. Last bit is setting up an old laptop but I’m finally ready!

Welp, my odd day off got consumed by car repairs. 🤷

After a delicious sleep in, it’s time to FAWM!!!

Did manage to skirmish a third #FAWM song this morning during the two-hour-delay-type weather mess we're having. Skirmish was about finishing development on something that's already been started, so it was a good excuse to finish one of my ideas from day 1.

FAWM song #2 is up. I'm out of soundcloud space. This year, though, THIS YEAR, I'm also uploading the demos to BandCamp so that I can post that on March 1 and delete them off soundcloud. Unfortunately going back and trying to get the .wav of the old demos (2024 and prior) is... too much work

my cat just brought me a spring toy, which I think is the signal for "take a break from whatever you're doing on that computer and play with me"

Fawm day 2: just woke up and remembered two of my songs from yesterday, and they don’t seem as bad in my head as I thought…

fawm day 1. I sat in front of my notebook for 3 hours and generated like 3 half songs and hated all of them, so didn’t record, but I did write, and maybe tomorrow I won’t hate them so much.
