Remember - Tammany wasn’t exactly a fan of fdr, Eleanor disliked Tammany when they didn’t support her son and she/herb lehman made it their business to destroy the desapio era resurgence

I mean - still pervades our politics. The Eric Adams era kings Dems weren’t cooked up in a vacuum! I guess we can cook up the demise of party machines to the new deal theoretically

I mean, the Kings county Dem “machine” has been all about self enrichment even before Fred trump paid off Meade Esposito to get his son sweetheart deals from the govt (grand Hyatt anyone)
