This is fascinating: www.reddit.com/r/OpenAI/s/I...

Someone “worked on a book with ChatGPT” for weeks and then sought help on Reddit when they couldn’t download the file. Redditors helped them realized ChatGPT had just been roleplaying/lying and there was no file/book…

A card game with gorgeous fun artwork, where the suits are Fluffy Thing, Noisy Thing, Cosy Thing, and Long Thing? Sign me up!

It's even got "Poo" cards. C'mon, what's not to love? 😀

Killer space meatballs to cursed shrubbery: Stephen King’s TV adaptations – rated bad to best Television versions of the author’s writing have been mixed, to say the least. Ahead of The Institute – about a bootcamp for telekinetic kids – we rate the lot, from the volcanically dull to the Tim C...

I’ve written something about Stephen King’s TV adaptations

"...and on this farm he had a WHAAAAAT?!?"

That is funky and catchy, I have to concede.

Funnily enough, when you turned the sleeve over, those were exactly my feelings too.

All hail you and your frankly mad yesteryear crate digging, sir 🫡

Today’s Climate Forecast

And onto today’s climate forecast,
where we can expect to see a prolonged spell of inaction,
interspersed with patches of hazy promises
across many areas.

Over Westminster and other centres of government,
a build-up of hot air will cause inactivity to soar
to record levels over the coming days,
in spite of the high pressure.

Elsewhere, a front of chronic misinformation
will sweep in from the east,
bringing with it a thick band of climate change deniers
and the chance of scattered falsehoods,

while powerful gusts of idiocy and ignorance
look set to blow across social media.
Outbreaks of ‘We just got on with it in 1976’
and ‘It’s called the British summer, mate’ are likely.

In summary: unsettling.

Microsoft is thought to have lost upwards of $20 billion on Copilot by the end of 2024, and committed to spending $80 billion on AI in 2025.

Take a wild guess what is recommended as an emotional support mechanism to the 9,100 employees they can no longer afford to keep.

True fact: you know those pop-up springy suction-cup toys? They were inspired by a ferret just like ol' bingus here.

Okay, probably not. But c'mon, it sounds really plausible, doesn't it?

Pro tip: for those of you who don't have printers, I recommend projecting it onto a living room wall and writing the results in on the wall.

Have a houseproud spouse? Don't worry - use a UV pen and they'll be none the wiser!

Funerals should just be car boot sales of all your stuff with a jacket potato and real ale stall, and everyone can wander round your stuff reminiscing about how weird you were, and wondering why you’ve so many sea-salt dispensers. The family can keep the money or donate it to charity.

The government's proposed Personal Independence Payment reforms are based on three popular fallacies:

1. Disabled people will work harder if money that supports them is withdrawn

2. There are loads of jobs just waiting to be filled with Disabled people

3. Disabled people aren't currently working
