Keep defending them with 2 points. You seem to miss the 1000s of pics of salmon covered in sea lice amplfied by the farms.
Your defence of this.. it's obvious you're in it for the money. Everything you put forward is weak. You have two arguements for the farms, we have 1000s against. Do better.

I think what’s more notable is that they feel it necessary to state that their salmon variety contains NO chicken. Commercial salmon farms in Tasmania actually feed the salmon a mix that includes chicken by-products. (We’re meant to be reassured by the farms’ assertion that it’s all cooked & ground)

We are just now, after 40 plus years, removing them. It's taken our First Nations peoples, using their rights and titles to do it. Science that's not owned by them has shown the damage they've done. We've removed a fair amount now, more are leaving all the time.. and our wild salmon are returning..

On the west coast of Canada, we've been fighting them since the first farm fish went in. They were a disaster from the start. The companies promised to keep their pens out of the wild pacific salmon migration routes, then tricked the locals into telling them where they were. They put pens there.

A couple of us have had the opportunity to spend time with him here in Canada, and he's a really kind person. Funny, smart, realistic, and passionate about the environment. I believe you'd all be lucky to have him on your side 😀

Farmed salmon endure much worse treatment than pigs, cows, chickens, etc. and we understand them much less.
We treat them like unthinking/unfeeling objects. I've heard salmon farmers call them stupid. All species of salmon are undoubtedly as intelligent as they are tough.
We do this at our own peril
