If a country halted co-operation with the international community on sharing counter-terrorism intelligence, while simultaneously reducing its own capabilities in domestic counter-terrorism, this would patently be a national security risk. The same is true of biological security.

Italy fines OpenAI over ChatGPT privacy rules breach Italy's data protection agency said on Friday it fined ChatGPT maker OpenAI 15 million euros ($15.58 million) after closing an investigation into use of personal data by the generative artificial intelligence application.

The fine comes after the authority found OpenAI processed users' personal data to "train ChatGPT without having an adequate legal basis and violated the principle of transparency and the related information obligations towards users."

Must have been quite a chore to put all of them on the website.

That is really the smell of the cooking fat (so if you cook in butter it will smell more enticing than, say, some sunflower type oil). But fatty smells linger. Like garam masala and onion etc. :-|

Those are the two classic smells realtors in western countries recommend when advising the sale of the house. So when viewers come in, they smell bread and or coffee and it feels like "home".

I read two essays on how AR devices will reshape user interfaces. Both argue traditional PC and smartphone UIs need rethinking, with generative AI playing a key role.

I believe Voice-based UIs combined with device’s ability to “see” what you see could be as game-changing as GPS was for the iPhone.
