Because motorists on W Riv Pkwy are, on average, driving 30+ mph, even if I show intention to cross, at least 3 to 5 cars will not have sufficient time to stop when traffic is heavy. We simply need more stop signs on this stretch of road if no speed enforcement will be done (and we know it won't)2/2

The problem is that the law is written to allow for motorists to not even slow down when approaching a crosswalk. The best example in my life is W Riv Pkwy at any crossing, but especially at E. 32nd and E. 33rd streets. TI can stand with my bike tire 2 feet into the street and no-one will stop 1/2

I do not need to read it. I passed through several crosswalks today without a semaphore. I'm literally calling for STOP SIGNS or a red light at EVERY pedestrian crossing. That's not in any law.

I am also behind DeWayne Davis and think he has the best set of skills and experience to do this hard work ahead.

There are not stop signs or red lights at all crosswalks. And, the nuance of the law is different in different municipalities and none require a full stop (I'm talking about stoplights) if there are no pedestrians showing "intention" to enter. So, most drivers do not stop for peds under current laws

I have an old copy of the book produced for Sir James Gray's 1951 lectures, How Animals Move. It is a classic.

That was a “mall” 40 years ago and has been failing at the concept since, not just the last 15yrs.

We were just there a month ago with a dog that has limited range. Artists point is still pretty accessible, or the beach at the harbor. There is a much shorter hike at Judge Magney. Black Beach.
