Trump is trying to fire three members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission the agency that ensures products like cribs, toys, and electronics are safe. The removals are illegal and undermine the commission’s independence. But since when has the Trump admin cared about following the law?

What we’re watching this week is the President of the United States using his public office to personally enrich himself. He’s using the office we put him in to take bribes from foreign governments.

It’s everything our Founders feared. And we’re letting it all happen right before our eyes.

There seems to be a vast under-appreciation for the lines we’ve crossed and the world we’re in.
