Turbulent clouds that formed a tornado near Colorado Springs a few years ago. I was there for art classes and this is the view from the hotel parking lot. The wind across the highway was intense and nearly blew my car off the road just a few minutes before I arrived here and took this photo. Always good to let someone know where you are each day if you travel by car. They can be your weather lookout. The other tornado warning was in Kansas and it was just north of me. Turbulent winds again that blew every tumbleweed within a three state area across the highway (I-70). It blew the sign out at my destination…Cracker Barrel. Safe place to stop when you are traveling alone.

If you are traveling always have a back up person who knows where you will be. Twice on the road, my sister has called to ask where I was. I told her the weather was very turbulent and she said there were tornadoes in the area both times.

Handmade dove holiday peace card made by me which a friend placed on their decorated holiday tree. Card details: If you zoom in you can see all the details 🕊️ Turquoise base is stamped with snowflakes. Eggplant frame just below the dove is cut from eggplant colored paper. Wanted high contrast card base colors so the dove could shine. The dove is cut from white shimmer paper with a die cut. I added faux gems to the main body and used a shimmer pen to add highlights to each tiny die cut area on the dove. From a leaf die I cut a green branch for the dove to carry in its beak as a sign of peace. The card base has shimmer accents also.

Beautiful 14ers (14,000ft mountains) in Colorado. Brown fall hay fields give way to the mountains topped with snow. Clouds still linger. A beautiful blue Colorado sky fills in above the clouds. This was taken from a stop along highway 24/285 that runs south fairly adjacent to the mountains.
