A scene depicting the Patagonian scrubland in the early morning, dotted with araucarias and framed by foggy mountains in the background. A pair of Macrauchenia, four guanacos and a patagonian mara are seen among the grass. A Megatherium walks by further away and a crested caracara flies over the scene.

Always really liked Yveltal (here's a drawing I did back in 2013 when the first teaser for XY dropped) but the way it walks in Legends ZA? Absolute perfection.

An illustration of a Carcharodontosaurus.

I'm in a Kem Kem mood it seems. On the other end of the spectrum from the lithe and lanky Deltadromeus is the stocky and robust Carcharodontosaurus! Size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ

Moving on from theropods, we now look at the pterosaurs of the Kem Kem, beginning with the azhdarchoid (?) Alanqa! Some thoughts and size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ

Brown Afrotapejara in flight.

I so rarely draw pterosaurs in flight. Here's Afrotapejara, another Kem Kem pterosaur known from some beak material. Tapejarids must have been some of the oddest of the pterosaurs - and that's saying something! Size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ

I am so much more comfortable drawing pterosaurs when they're on the ground. Here's Apatorhamphus, another one of the larger Kem Kem pterosaurs, alongside Alanqa, with a possible 7m wingspan. Size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ

Here is the tenth in the Kem Kem lineup - we're taking a break from pterosaurs to meet the largest animal in the ecosystem, a gargantuan titanosaur known from enormous trackways and fragmentary fossils. Size comparison (gulp) below! โฌ‡๏ธ

A yellow Rebbachisaurus with a blue head.

An unusual high-spined dinosaur from the Kem Kem, it's Spinosau- oh wait, it's Rebbachisaurus, a medium-sized diplodocoid sauropod. I based much of this reconstruction on related species, such as Lavocatisaurus and Limaysaurus. Size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ

A Xericeps, covered in light hues of blues, greens, and purples.

Xericeps is another fragmentary Kem Kem pterosaur, known from a distinctively curved lower beak, complete with interesting protrusions on the inside, much like Alanqa - this speculative reconstruction is based loosely on the modern openbill stork!

Surprise, more Kem Kem theropods! Here's a small indeterminate noasaurid, between 2-3m long, known from fragmentary remains. With smaller animals, I am drawn to vivid colours and flashier displays - like the speculative skin flap on the tail. Size comparison below โฌ‡๏ธ
