01.12.2025 14:13 โ ๐ 37 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Legit thought I posted these a month ago but I forgot: Amynodontopsis jiyuanensis, Labrangomeryx dorcapolis, Leptomeryx sp., and Peraceras hessei #paleoart #sciart
28.11.2025 14:31 โ ๐ 53 ๐ 16 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Now that SVP is over, I can finally post the commission that I did for @mosasaurologist.bsky.social 's poster on a certain very cool taxon! #paleoart #sciart
16.11.2025 21:27 โ ๐ 254 ๐ 62 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 4Look at these 2 posters! I'll be explaining them all day.
It's #FossilFriday again, and I am presenting 2 posters on Niobrara fish with Jeff Liston and @maryanningsrevenge.bsky.social at #2025SVP
14.11.2025 11:12 โ ๐ 40 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Except for stem tetrapods, otherwise yeah...
30.10.2025 21:58 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's something that I realized while drawing it, definitely took some inspiration from takins for the basic color concept. Big fan of the fact that the closest relative of takins may be Myotragus based on some papers looking at the DNA of caprines.
21.10.2025 13:04 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A partial recon of the new North American Pleistocene bovid Speleotherium logani. This guy is one of the few NA megafauna from this time described in the last century. Also showing that we still don't have a complete knowledge of the megafauna of Pleistocene NA #paleoart #sciart
21.10.2025 12:07 โ ๐ 42 ๐ 11 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh gosh, that would have been a while ago lol. Have zero clue when I posted on there was.
19.10.2025 15:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Did some giraffes and forgot to post them: Canthumeryx, Climacoceras gentryi, Georgiomeryx, and Palaeotragus inexspectatus #paleoart #scieart

Just barely making it for Septemberโs #NearbyNature2025, hereโs the Mexican Long-nosed Armadillo. Formerly known as a northern subspecies of the recently-split Nine-banded Armadillo, this is the only Xenarthran native to Alabama today. They are mostly nocturnal insectivores. #wildlife #alabama

26.01.2025 00:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, holocephalians are way weirder than people give them credit for, I'd say that they're probably more morphologically diverse than sharks over geologic time. There are way more that a could do.
22.01.2025 15:50 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0With a new description of a certain holocephalian, I decided to go on a deep dive to illustrate some of weirdos from the jurassic being: Acanthorhina, Chimaeropsis, Metopacanthus, and Squaloraja. I also recommend listening to the recent episode by @commondescentpod.bsky.social about chimaeras!

24.12.2024 20:16 โ ๐ 23 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This one was really fun to put together since a bunch of the resources were made with a bunch of people from the area, huge shout out to the UGA Stratigraphy Lab. Would have been so much harder without it.
