If you had enforced track limits and driving standards no one currently working in NASCAR would be in the series anymore because they'd have to learn how to set a car up and drive it like it's a race car and I just don't think anybody in NASCAR wants that

NASCAR would have a considerably fewer problems with driving standards if they penalized for the action and not the intention

Yeah, that's a good point too. I think this sort of thing is exactly why they instituted the yellow line rule in the first place, but NASCAR seems to think that "lower speeds" at road courses don't warrant the same standards
