I'm at a meeting at my public library. It is a community garden orientation, and plots are very cheap. Volunteer hours are used for maintenance and growing food for soup kitchens and the community. The org is supported by a local non profit.

This is one of many things public libraries do. Fund them

With a lot of the photos in my collection I love them not so much for the specific composition but simply the wonderful fact that someone loved this little cat enough to create this negative - a significant task - and then carefully store it for decades. ❤️

Very satisfying wander around the cemetery and park the evening. Some great dog action, I've been slobbered on several times by big boys and dainty ladies. A perfect way to close off working week and start the weekend.

A spiral galaxy with three prominent arms wrapping around it, and with a haze of stars, gas, and dark dust between the arms. It appears slightly off center, toward the right of the frame. There are shining blue points, which are clusters of stars, throughout the arms and some patches of gas beyond the galaxy’s edge, where stars are forming. The center of the galaxy also shines brightly in yellow-white light. It is on a dark background where some small orange dots mark distant galaxies.
