Brilliant! Any red state governors prepared to do the same?

Speaker to the void. Pesky cyclist. Surely can't be serious.

20.02.2026 08:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, it looks like a.i. A mash up image of Professor Brian Cox and Tom Cruise, maybe? Very odd.
20.02.2026 07:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Given how bizarrely slowly the Miyazaki computer laboriously scans each page of the comic, you'd really hope it was actual human artistry they just wanted to show on screen for as long as artificially possible.
Hmmm? Next, they'll be telling us they use human writers for the awful script dialogue.
Giamatti is a brilliant actor, having an absolute blast hamming it up to level 11 as the main villain, but unfortunately, with the worst script dialogue ever uttered in all of Star Trek history. It definitely leaves a nasty aftertaste.
18.02.2026 21:50 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Klingon souls are highly complex, a species that reveres their poet's text, to battle with honour they much adore, to earn a place in Sto-vo-kor.
Yep, that 'battle' can be an internal struggle like Worf had. Time will tell if the show's writers are up to the task of developing the character.
Aye, subverting expectations can be done well, but for Worf on TNG, Michael Dorn really managed to portray that inner conflict of his human upbringing vs his true Klingon self so well and tactical was ideal. Every facial expression and little grumble, tells a deep story. Perfection. :)
18.02.2026 11:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Worf being in charge of security and presiding over tactical defense and weapons systems, always ready, in his Klingon heart, to resolve conflict situations with battle and firepower was brilliant. Can imagine his inner struggle when Picard instead says, "No, let's open comms and speak to them." :)

Yesss! Such a distinctive rotor sound and the occasional #Bladeslap is also great to hear during the chinook displays.

18.02.2026 08:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, female objectification was off the scale in 60s Trek, but actual physical intimacy was only ever very basic in order to keep the networks happy.

17.02.2026 10:37 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Giamatti is brilliant and clearly having fun doing the best job possible with the most awful script dialogue imaginable.

14.02.2026 13:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mulgrew defending a fellow actor makes sense. Holly Hunter is a great actor with an amazing career. Definitely blame the writers and producers for the show's failings.
14.02.2026 12:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree S3 Picard was not perfect by any stretch and dialled up the fanservice to 11, but it was a major improvement and yielded significant audience gains as a result. It also gave the fanbase hope for the current era with the possibility of the Legacy show to follow on. There is hope. :)
14.02.2026 00:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Picard Season 3 entered the chat. :)
13.02.2026 23:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, niche spinoffs that riff on Trek to try and appeal to new audiences is fair enough. The core Trek fanbase very much wanted that 'Legacy' show to get made after Picard S3 turned out so surprisingly well, but an entirely new Trek show made for family viewing would likely be welcomed right now.
13.02.2026 23:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nu Trek writers be like: "Character development? Ewww, nobody has the patience for that anymore!"
13.02.2026 12:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mostly agree but Korda to win against Fritz? Is that prediction due to Fritz's knee issues?
13.02.2026 08:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Blimey, I've never heard of that band, I have heard of 'Primal Scream'. :)
12.02.2026 23:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quite right. It's not for everyone, but if you are able to enjoy Academy, that's obviously valid. We are all different!

12.02.2026 02:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If EMI hadn't wanted so much money (well beyond NASA's budget), 'Here Comes The Sun' would have been included on Voyager's 1977 golden disc as the 'quintessential representation of human optimism and music'. George was an absolute musical genius!

10.02.2026 09:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's so funny. The Paramount people are busy fawning and gushing about his legacy, but Brooks clearly doesn't give 2 hoots about any of that. He does care about jazz, though, so a section taken from his CD recorded 20 years ago was all he was prepared to contribute to the show. What a legend.
