The answer is zero. I know it has happened zero times. I’m not sure if that means I’m god as far as Musk is concerned? If so, I’d like a word.
News in that children are now being prescribed weight loss jabs on the NHS.
@wesstreetingmp.bsky.social
Where are the trials for the use of these experimental drugs in children? How do you know it’s safe?
📢 SHOW US THE EVIDENCE 📢
All so utterly predictable and fucked up.
Here we go again ✍️
When do you EVER see a GC activist make anything other than a bad faith argument? JKR is the ultimate example.
01.11.2025 10:45 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yes, you’re probably right. I can see someone casually believing some of the GC nonsense out of ignorance, but it surely can’t be possible to get to the stage of being a full blooded activist without it being a mask off moment. And I suppose there’s probably is strong evidence of this:
01.11.2025 10:45 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0becoming increasingly aware of the experiences of others that have pushed me in this direction. Some quite profoundly. So it’s definitely possible to have moments that cause significant change in your outlook. But can you become full-on obsessive transphobe from a starting point of decency? 🤷♂️
01.11.2025 10:37 — 👍 8 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think there’s probably a bit of both. There’s no doubt people go on a bit of a journey politically. Twenty years ago I was definitely a centrist, but I find myself in my late forties very firmly on the left. Looking back there are moments that have occurred in terms of personal experiences and
01.11.2025 10:37 — 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I hoped and felt that GC overreach after the SC ruling would be their undoing. The question was always how long would it take to turn the oil tanker around and how much damage would be done in the meantime. As it turns out, plenty of damage. But we’re starting to see green shoots I think.
31.10.2025 10:39 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0To the first question, for many reasons. To the second, because they’ve bought into a highly funded anti trans movement that is stirring up transphobia to distract from the real problems (ie wealth inequality). There’s no evidence that trans women on GAH retain an advantage over cis women.
31.10.2025 10:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0No, there was never any sincerity in that. It was standard “I’m not a bigot BUT…” nonsense.
31.10.2025 09:10 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Any minute now she will be marching for trans rights, like she promised. It’s just taking her five years to find her hiking boots in her castle.
31.10.2025 09:05 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0But I’d rather go down with them than live without them. Keep it up, Robin. I live in hope that more people appreciate it than the world makes you think.
30.10.2025 19:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Fantastic. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the use of think tanks, how transparent their funding is, and how much access they have in Whitehall. An actual left wing government would have identified this and news media regulation as two of the biggest most urgent problems in “the system”.
30.10.2025 09:10 — 👍 14 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The only thing funnier than Trump confusing a dementia test for an IQ test is that THIS IS THE SECOND TIME HE’S DONE THAT
30.10.2025 07:07 — 👍 107 🔁 13 💬 1 📌 0And where do trans people fit in that picture for you? There’s no conspiracy here. Just trans people, a highly targeted minority, who want to have the right to participate in sports with their peers.
29.10.2025 19:16 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Nothing ironic about it.
You keep ignoring the whole gender affirming hormones part of things as well as generally misrepresenting what trans people want and who they are. Have you tried having conversations with trans people?
Saying it doesn’t make it so.
I’ve told you some of the reasons I disagree and you haven’t actually countered any of them. You’ve just restated what you wish to be true as if it were a fact.
All you’re really saying is that you refuse to accept trans women as women, therefore blanket exclusion.
And to think that if he’d just kept himself out of the limelight the entire world may not have realised he was actually a simpleton.
29.10.2025 11:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Then it’s a weak case. The case for inclusion is:
Trans women live in society as women.
Trans women do not automatically have a biological advantage over cis women.
Exclusion should be by exception and only where it is absolutely necessary.
Sport should be inclusive and fun.
You’re refusing to acknowledge that trans women do not automatically have an advantage over cis women in any sport.
29.10.2025 11:01 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0People participate in sport (competitive or otherwise) for many reasons. For a sense of community, belonging, companionship, challenge, fitness, and - heaven forbid - for fun. But even your crude “purpose” doesn’t make a convincing argument for why all trans women should be banned from women’s sport
29.10.2025 11:01 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Sport has many purposes (especially at amateur/grassroots level), so your initial statement is simply not true. Physical sex characteristics are complicated and non binary at the best of times, even more so when you consider the impact of medical transition.
29.10.2025 10:21 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0And here I was thinking women’s sport was for ALL women. I didn’t realise there was an excellence criteria.
29.10.2025 10:06 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Compare cis men and cis women, sure. Physical performance is generally better on average amongst men. “On average” and “generally” being the key words. Again, why a BLANKET exclusion?
29.10.2025 09:00 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Because there’s no evidence that trans women retain an advantage if they are taking oestrogen for one thing (reasonable evidence to the contrary). And even aside from that it’s not as simple as “male always better than female”. Hence the problem is the BLANKET exclusion. It’s simplistic and cruel.
29.10.2025 08:10 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0As far as I’m concerned this kind of behaviour from a government can’t be glossed over with anything else. You can’t make up for dehumanising some people by being a little nicer to others.
28.10.2025 21:18 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As have I. And nothing so far has happened except the UK has become a considerably worse place for trans people than it even was under the Tories at their worst. That plus the continued negative focus on immigrants and ludicrous over policing of protestors is not something I’m ok with.
28.10.2025 21:18 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Try listening to trans people and their families. Then come back and tell me that Labour haven’t failed them. It’s not just the Supreme Court decision (which they could legislate to correct in five minutes if they wanted to).
28.10.2025 21:13 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0In which particular way have they not rolled back trans rights?
