Ha! I have that exact same album in that exact same condition. When my sister moved, I snagged a pile of old records her ex-mother-in-law had give her.

I'm a sucker for that era of sunshine pop/soul, though. The 5th Dimension were masters of it. (if that's a thing)

I'm always amazed at the work DC's artists put in during the 50s, balanced against what they were being paid.

YouTube video by U2 U2 - Yours Eternally (Lyric Video) ft. Ed Sheeran and Taras Topolia

Also saw U2 dropped a new EP yesterday, and kind of shrugged, but then realized if Bono was built for anything, it was probably Right Now.

Turns out I was right. I'd almost forgotten how good this band could be once upon a time when fired up, and fired up they are again.

With Tom Morello joining Springsteen on his Fuck Trump tour, I feel like I need to catch one of those shows. I have a sense it'll be healing. Screaming along to Bruce anthems with Morello ripping it up would be cathartic. Guess I hadn't realized how desperate I've been for some hope and community.

Kansas has fared best when moderate Republicans get tired of the Right Wing/Libertarian shit bags and push them out en masse, as when Sam Brownback was chased out of office after letting the Kochs reshape Kansas Tax laws, to disastrous effect.

It's also why we've had so many female Dem governors.

26.02.2026 12:14 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Biggest problem right now in Kansas is that a relatively moderate state (on the whole) is under control of the extreme Right, which doesn't represent a majority of Kansans by any stretch.

So horrible assholes like Kris Kobach and Ty Masterson are rabidly pursuing their repellant personal agendas.

if I catch A SINGLE ONE OF YOU doing this to our trans friends in Kansas, I will fucking wreck you.

the politicians doing this to Kansas are evil. the people it is being done to deserve support and help and to not have to deal with your sadistic little jokes. grow a fucking soul.

I've spent years idly trying to figure out a way to translate the Golden Age philosophy of throwing everything against the wall, no matter how insane, to modern comics, and I'm not there yet, but I'll get there.

For example, have the Black Dwarf and Speed Centaur.

Jason made his own bed, and has to live with the consequences of his behavior, regardless of how he's addressed it or worked to fix it. For sure.

I haven't seen that he created a new Image book, but if so, the market will determine how he benefits from it, since no one is paying him.

Who's he working for beyond himself?

I'm also always curious how we define abuse, and, if the circumstances didn't involve physical or calculated abuse, how we allow for them to address their issues.

There are real calculated abusers out there who should not be allowed back in the fold.

Not only did Steve Ditko create most of Spider-Man's most notable villains, they were very weird, in the classic sense.

Along with Dr. Strange, I'm not sure any character had more of their creator's DNA stamped all over them from the start.

Lee should always get credit for letting Ditko run wild.
